Why phase out legacy software?
There is nothing wrong with legacy in itself. Legacy systems can often last for years, provided they meet modern security requirements and can be linked to modern systems. However, there comes a time when that is no longer possible:
- You want to innovate as an organization, but the old software stands in the way of that renewal;
- You want to unlock real-time data via an app, but your current IT is an obstacle;
- You have high license costs that can be drastically reduced by replacing software;
- In recent years you have implemented so many quick fixes and improvements, that the complicated structures have made it difficult to develop new features within the same code.
